Family & Parent Support
Raising Special Kids – Arizona’s Family to Family Health Information Center
- Contact this group if/when:
- you want to talk with another parent/family member of a child with the same or similar special health care need,
- you need family support,
- you are having difficulty navigating the system,
- you just moved to the state with your child with special needs
- Programs and Services for Families
- Raising Special Kids provides programs and services at no cost to families. No eligibility determinations are required. Any parent or family member of a child who has a special health care need can take advantage of services provided in English, Spanish, and other languages.

Early Childhood Support
Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP)

- you need assistance completing a referral or finding out if your child/a child you are providing services to who is between birth to three years of age; and has a significant developmental delay or established medical condition; is eligible for IDEA Part C early intervention services.

- you need assistance applying or finding out if you/your child who is diagnosed with one of the following developmental disabilities is eligible for supports and services

Is your child meeting their milestones?
- Where is Bear is a fun book to enjoy with your child while checking that they meet the milestones of a typical two-year-old.
- Download a PDF of “Where’s Bear”
- A developmental delay or missing milestones can sometimes be a “red flag” for a genetic condition.
- View other developmental books and resources for all ages from the CDC.
- If you have concerns about your child’s development, please talk to your child’s doctor. You can find more resources to help you do that, here. In addition, MSRGN has developed a Developmental Delay Algorithm that you can share with your child’s doctor.
