MSRGN hosts Interpreting for Autism Spectrum Disorder Workshop for Health Care Interpreters in 2023

On January 14 and January 21, 2023, MSRGN will be co-hosting with the National Coordinating Center, a virtual workshop for health care interpreters called: “Interpreting for Autism Spectrum Disorders”.

If you are a healthcare interpreter in the Mountain States Region (AZ, CO, MT, NV, NM, TX, UT, WY), please  join us for a FREE seven-hour virtual training (led by nationally recognized trainer Cynthia E. Roat, MPH) to help you better understand and more accurately interpret the information provided during a genetics appointment (specific to Autism Spectrum Disorders). To get the most out of the training, we ask that:

  • Connect to the Zoom via computer (not through a smart phone or tablet);
  • Keep your camera on during the training.

The training will be held over two consecutive Saturdays (January 14 and 21) from 11 AM to 2:30 PM PT; 12 PM to 3:30 PM MT; 1 PM to 4:30 PM CT; 2 PM to 5:30 PM ET. In order to be awarded the approved 7.0 CE credits (incl. 2 performance based CEU) from CCHI and IMIA , you must participate on each day.

This training will be capped at 25 PARTICIPANTS. Once we reach this limit, we will not approve any more registrations but will begin a waiting list and try to offer another session at a later date/time. Priority registration will be provided for healthcare interpreters from the MSRGN region, others will be considered if space allows.
