Webinar with TX ODPC featuring MSRGN and Texas Genetic Navigator: January 12, 2023

Webinar: Resources for Genetics in Texas and Beyond

Join the HHSC Office of Disability Prevention for Children (ODPC) on January 12, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. for a free, live webinar titled, “Resources for Genetics in Texas and Beyond.”

Featuring representatives from Mountain States Regional Genetics Network (MSRGN), the webinar will share genetic resources for families, public health professionals, and service and medical providers. MSRGN is a regional network that includes Texas and is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Genetic Services Branch. MSRGN ensures that individuals with heritable disorders and their families have access to quality care and appropriate genetic expertise through facilitating a network of genetics clinics, primary care practices, consumer advocates, and state health department resources.

The genetics journey for each family (and those who serve them) can look very different. This webinar aims to equip those who want or need to access genetics care with resources, tools and connections in Texas and beyond, including an introduction to the Genetics Navigator program.

This webinar is intended for parents, providers who work with families, and others caring for infants and children.
